Doesn’t the Bbile command us to assemble on the Sabbath and Holydays? And didn’t Jesus come the first time to build His church that would last through the ages? How, then, can you be an “independent ” Christian, something HWA expressly wrote about and didn’t agree with? Yet, you also state that we should all be “united together.” Could you please reconcile these apparent contradictions for me and further state your views on these issues” Thanks
This is indeed a problem for true believers since the WCG went into apostasy starting in 1986. In this present time of transition in God’s Church, there are many spiritual dangers and minefields which must be successfully avoided. Indeed, these are dangerously deceptive times we are living in.
To address the first concern about assembling together:
There is no doubt that scriptures must be obeyed. However, the main issue to be addressed is the reason why one is not assembling with any church organization. If one’s purpose is to be an independent Christian with a “go it alone” mentality, that would indeed be wrong. However, if the God appointed church organization has gone astray, then there is, of necessity, the need for true believers to take a stand as per biblical directives.
As a starting point, refer to 1 Corinthians 11:1 and read the following letters and commentary:

Mr. Dervaes does call for unity among true believers. However, in the light of the above links and biblical references, Mr. Dervaes does not issue a call for unity under a church organization “umbrella.” He is advocating that true believers take up the Laodicean Era challenge as adult believers and partners with Christ and actually DO the work that is required of them: to unite together to prepare the way for the Second Coming by beginning the restoration of all things (Acts 3:21) by bringing all aspects of the Kingdom Plan under the physical and spiritual laws of God, showing the world how to live.
